“I do not know what the future brings,” Galen said as he his mouth released hers. “All I know is that I want you with me. You and those dogs and those rabbits, whom I am assuming go where you go. Am I correct?”
Flushed and giddy, Lorica began to giggle. “If it is not too much trouble.”
Because she was giggling, he started to chuckle. “It is not,” he said. “But so help me, those dogs had better not bite me. I will take issue with that.”
She burst out laughing. “They will not, I swear it.”
“And they will not sleep in the same bed with us.”
“I cannot swear to that.”
He let out a loud guffaw before claiming her lips once more, pulling her into his arms and embracing her more tightly than he ever knew such a thing was possible. He had her, all of her, and he was never going to let her go.
Ever.
