Building worlds is something I enjoy so much and, luckily, I think I’ve gotten good at it over the years. Big worlds with big men and The Blackchurch Guild is no exception. Get acquainted with this group because there are many more books to come.

Admittedly, it’s difficult to slip in the introductions of other characters when you’re dealing with several, but the focus, in this group, is on Tay Munro and Athdara de Ghent. Tay’s got some baggage – we figure that out pretty quickly. That big body protects a tender heart. Athdara, once a noblewoman in her country, has had to learn to fight or die. She’s a tough cookie. He speaks several languages and is brilliant in anything he does. Most importantly, he is a firm believer that women should not be warriors and he does his best to wash out the females he is assigned to train.

Enter Athdara de Ghent.

Already a warrior when she comes to Blackchurch, they call her The Valkyrie. Beautiful and mysterious, Tay is attracted to her from the start but that does not stop his attempts to break her. When he realizes how strong she is, he becomes intrigued. Athdara is a warrior from the Teutonic region, but there is a darkness about her.
